The static loading tests of bridge structures needs estimation of the bridge bearing structure deflection. In most cases, the vertical deflection is measured by the extensometers fixed to the ground surface. In case that space under the bridge is unavailable, geodetical levelling device could be applied for. In the Klokner Institute, the laser levelling device was verified for this purpose.
