Outcomes of a numerical simulation of flow through an unbalanced control valve during the turbine's operational modes. A 2D as well as a 3D calculation study is considered. Effect of a protective screen on aerodynamic conditions inside the valve is modeled. Distribution of velocity and pressures in the diffuser is determined. Pressures affecting the valve cone are described.
