The paper reminds hundred years anniversary of Prof. Koloušek, founder of the Czech school of structural dynamics. It refers both the private as well as professional life of the world well known and popular teacher whose dynamic deformation method appeared as one of the most effective and precise approach for the calculation of free vibration of elastic systems in the precomputer time.
