The basic element of the frequency analysis of the human hearing system is the cochlea. This article presents finite-element models of the cochlea function with parameters, which are to provide for its functionality. These models were based on the G. von Bekézsy theory of running acoustic waves along the basilar membrane inside the cochlea.
